In context of the delegation of the Shunde Association of Female Entrepreneurs Helis & Associates and the Stuttgart Chamber of Industry and Commerce held a training on Industry 4.0.
The Stuttgart Chamber is one of 80 Chambers of Industry and Commerce in Germany. They mainly serve as representatives of their members’ interests but also offer consultancy services and training courses. Counting over 160,000 members from Stuttgart City and the surrounding areas the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce is the fifth largest chamber in Germany. The Stuttgart region is home to several global players such as Daimler (including Mercedes-Benz) and Porsche and has numerous successful high-tech companies. Consequently, the experts at the Stuttgart Chamber are highly skilled in explaining Industry 4.0 to the training participants.
The training course was divided into three parts, starting with a general introduction to the topic. In the second part the lectures linked Industry 4.0 to the Chinese high technology development concept of Made in China 2025. What parallels are existing between the two programs? What are the differences? Finally, an outlook to future technological developments was given. There was an intensive approach to the question which cooperation opportunities China and Germany can create with Industry 4.0 and Made in China 2025. The course was very positively acknowledged by the participants. Industry 4.0 was not only shown in general but linked specifically to China. The training course showed the parallels and differences of Industry 4.0 and Made in China 2025 and gave suggestions on how Sino-German cooperation in high-tech industries can be achieved.
