Port of Hamburg is the biggest port in Germany, the third biggest port in Europe and ranks no.18 of the biggest container port all over the world. China has very close relationship with Hamburg and is the biggest trade partner of Hamburg. About 29% of the total container throughput capacity of Port of Hamburg are Containers to and from China. 50% of import and export goods between Germany and China are transhipped through the Port of Hamburg.
From 19 to 23 November, the Hamburg Delegation which was led by Dr. Torsten Sevecke, the State Secretary of the Economy, Transport and Innovation of the port city of Hamburg, visited the Greater Bay Area. Among the delegates are Mr. Matthias Grabe, CTO of the Hamburg Port Authority and Mr. Axel Mattern, CEO of the Port of Hamburg Marketing.
On the request of the delegation, Helis & Associates provided consulting services in Shenzhen and Guangzhou from 21 to 23 November, including organising dinner banquet and inviting guests, organising local company visit in Shenzhen and transportation.

The delegation arrived in Shenzhen in the afternoon of 21 Nov. Firstly, Mr. Lechelt, vice CG of German Consulate Guangzhou, gave a briefing about current Sino-German cooperation, following by the briefing of Ms. Schulz, regional manager Shenzhen of German Chamber, with the topic German Business in South China.
The delegation went to the Nio House afterwards, to visit some of their electronic cars.
Hamburg Delegation Networking Dinner Banquet
The dinner banquet was held in Shenzhen Futian Shangri-La Hotel. H&A was very honored to invite many high-level representatives from Shenzhen government, German Consulate Guangzhou, European Chamber, German Chamber, and local companies like BYD, UBTech, Royole. More than 40 Chinese guests attended the dinner banquet. The MC of the dinner was Mr. Peter Helis, managing director of H&A.

The delegation visited four leading innovation companies in Shenzhen, which are UBTech, DJI, Sensetime and Royole. The delegates showed great interest in the technologies of the companies and felt deeply impressed.
